Vila Gale Collection Braga

in the heart of Braga's Center, the place takes your mind back in time to when it was a convent and untill recently a hospital. We were a family with 2 children and they too were captivated in the winds of time. Spacious room, an acceptable foldable bed for the children. genuinely welcoming staff. we enjoyed the atmosphere also when dining at the hotel, the dinner was altogether good value for money ( but once they blundered- tasteless spaghettis for the children that came after waiting 1 hour !!). the negative side: the air conditioning system is oddly controlled by calling the desk, and sometimes there was no answer to our call even after waiting 15 minutes)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Vila Gale Collection Braga that exceeded my expectations in every way. The hotel is an old monastery that has been modernized on the inside, offering guests a unique and luxurious experience. Despite its historic origins, the hotel is equipped with all the modern amenities one could need, including comfortable beds, high-speed internet, and a well-equipped gym. The hotel's central location made it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. What I loved most about this hotel, however, was its beautiful and peaceful atmosphere. The old monastery architecture provided a sense of calm and tranquility, and the attentive staff made sure that every guest felt welcome and taken care of.

The Palace is beautiful and the position is perfect. Probably the best structure in Braga. High quality breakfast and very nice swimming pool.

The staff are treasures.....Carla at reception was exceptional.....so knowledgeable about history of building and willing to share that knowledge.....also the breakfast room staff...I wanted to know name of flower on display....young waiter didn't know, he went to the lady chef,she told him, they did Google translate...name of flower Purple Perpetua.....that level of.helpfulness is rare. Magnificent building very sensitively turned into hotel..... Location is superb, within walking distance to everything. The housekeeping staff do a fantastic job...extremely high standard of cleanliness.....the breakfast has a good variety.....there is plenty of sitting space around the building.......I found it to be a place of great tranquility and calm...... I would highly recommend this hotel......obviously as a solo traveller it is expensive (you are paying for 2 people),but for 2 people sharing it is good value

Turned from a former hospital into a beautiful place for guests this hotels contained many positive surprises, signaling the good taste of the interior designers. We had wonderful rooms, spacious and with a balcony. The pool was wonderful as was breakfast each morning! So many great delicacies to choose from and a lovely place to sit. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Safe parking. Great location to visit the beautiful city of Braga!
